Hello! As you know, Food is Free Fort Worth has moved to Vega Place Senior Apartments. It is located behind the club room at 6154 Community Lane. It is easily accessible with parking right off Vega Drive. We just ask that you be mindful of the property and the residents when coming and going! We are excited to take on this project and welcome donations! We have a Tarrant Food Bank Senior Share Foodbank on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 11am, and you are welcome to come to get food, and/or we plan to fill the pantry on that day! We always welcome donations and suggestions! Thank you-Vega Place

We will be moving soon and wanted to let you all know that the Food Pantry has moved and will be managed by Vega Place Apartments located at 6154 Community Ln, Fort Worth, TX 76133.

Hello Friends,

We want to say thank you to everyone who has helped contribute and keep this pantry going for over 2 years now. It was so amazing to see all of the neighbors sharing and caring and we loved meeting everyone who donated and used the pantry.

We plan on moving out of state soon and want to see if anyone would be willing to take over the Wedgwood Community Food Pantry and FB page. Here are the following criteria for candidates:

1. The new facilitators should be located in Wedgwood so the the current families and individuals who are regular contributors and users will not have to go too far out of their way to still be apart of the project.

2. Be at a site that is close to a lot of pedestrian and vehicle traffic so it makes it easier for people to swing by. (More difficult for visibility and use if located in the inner most section of the neighborhood).

3. Be willing to be the administrator of the FB page. Posting any free food opportunities in FW and promoting other food pantries.

If you are interested, please PM me. We will then check out your location to see if it is a good site and go over some things about the pantry.
