E-I-E-I-O! 🐄🐔🐑

Our Pre-Kindergarten students at Taonga School built a farm today while learning about domestic animals. They explored what chickens, sheep, and cows provide, and how these animals play a role in the foods and materials we use every day.

Thank you to our donors for helping make these brighter beginnings possible.

Sometimes the best opportunities travel the fastest...not by ads, but by word of mouth!

That’s how Kelvin, 9-years-old and now in Grade 3 at MacDonald Brown School, found his way to Arise Africa. His family heard about the benefits of our school from others in their community and chose to enroll him based on what they had heard.

Today, Kelvin is settling in well at school. He’s curious, kind, and especially confident when it comes to math word problems. He dreams of becoming a doctor one day so he can help find cures for diseases around the world.

Kelvin is still in need of a sponsor to support his education, school supplies, and daily needs. If you feel led to invest in Kelvin's future send us a message!

Who knew a blood orange and a landscape would have so much in common? Both make great drawing subjects! 🍊🌳

Grades 10 and 11 put their observational drawing skills to the test this week through a fun and engaging art activity. Students learned how to blend colors while exploring shape and perspective.

Just look at these impressive results! We are so grateful to Arise Africa’s sponsors and donors for supporting our students. Artists in the making.

Have you ever wondered who captures all of our daily footage in Zambia? Meet the man behind the camera! 📸

Gideon Tuyu has been a part of Arise Africa for more than 15 years. He’s currently completing his degree in Film and Media, and when he’s not studying, he works part-time as the talented photographer taking so many of the photos and videos you see on our channels.

We are so grateful for his creativity and dedication every single day. (And yes- the students love filming trends with him!)

When asked what being an Arise Africa graduate meant to him, Gideon shared:

“It has given me hope, strengthened my faith, and helped me grow into the Gideon I am today.”

Thank you to his amazing sponsor, for believing in him!

Before you keep scrolling, will you pray with us today? 🧡

Every Monday, we share some requests from our team and students so our community can join us in prayer:

-Our shipping container is officially in route to Zambia! We overcame so many obstacles (last-minute sourcing, Texas heat, random thunderstorms, shipping delays, and sore muscles, etc.) and worked together to get it packed in just a few days. We amaze ourselves every year with how much we can stuff inside our container! God willing, it’ll arrive in time to make Christmas in Zambia that much more special. Please pray for safe travels. 📦➡️⛴️🇿🇲

-Our former student and Arise home child, Maggie, has been cleared to fly in Zambia! Women pilots are incredibly rare there so this is something to be widely celebrated. Maggie’s still waiting for the right opportunity to pop up, but we are so excited about the progress she’s made so far. We’d appreciate prayers for her job search. 👩🏾‍✈️🛫

-Summer mission trips kick off soon! Our Zambians can’t wait to see some familiar faces and meet new ones. Suitcases are packed, flights are booked, and our mission trippers are ready to dive into VBS. Prayers for a summer filled with the Lord’s goodness!

Thank you so much for partnering with us in prayer. 🫶🏽

The real scary part was getting a 20-foot shipping container through our back gate to fill with donations and supplies.👻

Introducing...our newest student!

Meet six-year-old Edina Banda, a bright and joyful Kindergarten student at our Taonga School.

Her teachers describe her as one of the most confident and cheerful girls in the classroom. Edina loves writing, flipping through picture books, exploring math and art, and learning to read. She brings enthusiasm and curiosity to everything she does!

When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, Edina doesn't hesitate when saying she wants to become a teacher. Inspired by the educators who encourage and support her every day, she hopes to one day make the same difference in the lives of other kiddos.

Edina is waiting for someone to walk alongside her. Could God be calling you to sponsor Edina and make a lasting impact in her life?

What if the book you read was written by a 6th grader? 📖

Our MacDonald Brown students have been working hard on their school projects and recently revealed something very special— books they wrote themselves!

Exploring themes like friendship, imagination, and overcoming challenges, our students created original stories that showcase their creativity and hard work.

Book Launch is one of our favorite events! We are so proud of these young authors for developing their ideas, strengthening their writing skills, and bringing their very own stories to life.

What's the last book you read?

Oh ok because our students will always find a way to join in on a trend…and honestly, we love to see it! 😆

Which one should they try next?
