Happy Juneteenth from Building Pathways! Today, we are reminded that we are FREE! Free and deserving of everything an abundance of life and liberty has to offer every man and woman in our great nation.

Quite ironically, this message of freedom hasn't quite settled into the hearts and minds of some of our most vulnerable community members, but that is why organizations such as ours exists.

We band together with quality community organizations such as North Texas Community Foundation and high producing employers such as Electro Acoustics to bridge mental, technical skill, and financial earnings gaps, fostering in our local communities.

We're excited to continue the mission of emancipating minds from mental slavery and placing them on the trajectory of drastically improving their quality of life.

What a way to kick off our Summer Youth Program! Last Friday we took our clients to visit Electro Acoustics HDQ and we all were blown away by the experience.

Each young person learned something new about this aspect of construction. They learned about the need for audio-visual technology and how low voltage electrical work can yield high earnings.

They saw men and women performing quality, diligent work and they were able to take in the mission, vision, and core values of the business and see how it is a strong driver of a company's success.

All the while, we're priming them to create their own personal statement of worth to drive their own success. Thank you for taking the lead with our youth this summer!

Our Summer Youth Employment Program is back and in full swing! We’re so excited to work with these ten (10) high school students and fill them with motivation, professional development, and eye opening experiences.

No one is more qualified to deliver this level of excellence than our Pathway Coach Christan Hicks & the Employer Partners we collaborate with!

Words can't describe the blessed opportunity we have to share the beauty that transpires before our eyes on a daily basis. Do you remember Angel? A young man who aged out of the foster care system... who left his overnight job at Burger King to complete a construction internship with Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County and Post L Group Construction..

Yes, this young man successfully completed his internship, got hired with one of our employer partners, and then Angel had the audacity to reach back and encourage his younger brother Hector to follow suit.

Now, Hector is employed and they are working together. Bettering their quality of life together. Pushing past the pain of the past, and bursting forth into a far better future for their inspired lineage.

All of this is possible because of our community who supports the work we do in to greatness. Thank you for maintaining that support. You are saving this great nation one soul at a time.

We celebrate Rose 🌹

Congratulations to our President & CEO, Rose Bradshaw, for being named one of the 500 Most Influential People in Fort Worth by FW Inc. Under her leadership, North Texas Community Foundation has grown to steward more than 400 charitable funds and awarded $67 million in grants last year.

It takes a village to raise a child, and while we can’t take credit for this fully, we are honored that we could play a role in Jody’s development.

Our Coach Christan Hicks met Jody while he was riding his bicycle to work… to fend for his baby daughter. And to make a long story short, the end result of Chris’ coaching resulted in:
1) Jody getting a higher paying job/career
2) Entering into Mentorship Program/cohort
3) Reenrolling in high school
4) purchasing his own vehicle/reliable transportation
5) GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL

As for this young man, the sky is the limit! The direction is onward and upward! Jody, Jody, my Jody… we are proud of you young brother!

We will always remember the day when Owners, GC Management, and Joint Venture partners came out to celebrate our client Kenneth Crockett.

Kenneth is a construction management professional who had a thriving business in Chicago, yet found himself in the depths of despair… living at The Salvation Army.

With the help of our Ancillary Services, Kenneth is now working on what is going to be the largest children’s hospital in the nation. He is gainfully employed and he is taking daily steps towards full restoration and a thriving quality of life.
