Friends,
I am involved with this wonderful charity The Pink Pajama Charitable Foundation. This non-profit is about and for women who have fought the battle and won, and those now fighting a terrible disease which has placed enormous emotional and financial stress on them and their loved ones.
PPCF simply wants to give these women something wonderful, something that perhaps will give them a chance to smile. Your generous donations make it possible for these women to look forward to a day at the spa, or attend a cooking class, or a weekend getaway, maybe a day of shopping on the magnificent mile, even a glorious week to some incredible destination.
But the true gift is not just the event; it is women being joined by other women who are in similar situations and those who have beaten the odds and now want to provide encouragement and strength to others facing their own personal battles. To let them know they are not alone.
If you feel you could support what we’re trying to do, please tell everyone you know. . . send the link to as many people as you can think of, ask them to contact everyone they know, and let us know about someone whom you know, or perhaps even yourself, who would send us their story.
Bernie Sanders has mentioned a thousand times that he’s raised millions of dollars by hundreds of thousands supporters donating only $27. Think of all the tears we could replace with a smile, if we could get that many to support us. I do hope you will help us.
Every journey begins with a step, and that’s what this is all about. . . that first step.
