Vests, patches, and placement! Where does everything go?!
We will have a couple new girls in our troop this year who have not been in Girl Scouts before, but this is equally a nice refresher for our veteran girls in the troop this year.
All girls regardless of experience will have the American flag, the Girl Scouts USA/Texas Oklahoma Plains patches, The Troop Crest (lightning bolt), Troop numbers, and the Brownie Insignia Tab/World Trefoil Pin, and Girl Scout Membership Pin. (Top parts of the front of the vest)
The girls who have bridged from Daisies to Brownies will have the rainbow bridge, a star pin with blue backing, and a star pin with green backing. For those who are starting new as Brownies, they will have the star pin with green backing (no rainbow bridge).
The patches on the front of the vest are obtained through the Girl Scout sponsored activities/curriculum.
The patches on the back of the vest are our "fun" patches that we accumulate from a variety of activities and adventures that we do throughout the year.
As we go along through the year, I will post updates regarding badge placement for the front of the vest, however placement of our "fun badges" on the back of the vest is at your creative design!
We have also learned over time that if you are unable to have patches sewed on to the vest, this adhesive has held up very well through washes and movement, and is available on Amazon.
