The Lone Star Leather Crafters guild was formed in the Fort Worth area in 1986 by a small group of leather enthusiasts. Today our guild is an international organization, and we have members in the United States, Austria, Brazil, China, Germany, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan and The Netherlands. We are novices, masters, saddlemakers and hobbyists willing to share in the crafting of leather. WHERE A
ND WHEN DO WE MEET? We meet monthly on the second Saturday of each month except for holidays at 1 p.m. at Tandy Leather Store, 1900 SE Loop 820 Fort Worth, TX 76140. At each meeting, we enjoy watching a demonstration or participating in a hands-on project, showing and telling about our latest projects, socializing, snacking, and discussing guild business. Guests are always welcome! We have two special meetings each year. One in August, celebrates summer with a picnic. The second, in December, celebrates the holidays with a dinner party, gift exchange, and holiday ornament competition. We are always glad to add new members to our guild! Membership includes the monthly newsletter, which contains patterns, photos, news and announcements, and registration with the International Federation of Leather Guilds, so that you can participate in their annual competition.
