Volunteer registration is now open for the
Wheels for Wellness Downtown Fort Worth Benefit Car Show on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Following is a brief overview of the Wheels for Wellness organization and details regarding volunteers.
Wheels for Wellness is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to save men's lives through awareness of prostate cancer, early detection with PSA screenings, resources for patient care support, and research for a cure. We host car show events throughout the year to raise funds which support three focus areas or what we refer to as Screen, Care and Cure. The SCREEN, CARE and CURE beneficiaries are Prostate Cancer Resource Center (PCRC), Cancer Care Services, and UNT Health Science Center, respectively. Our largest event is the annual Downtown Fort Worth Benefit Car Show held in September, Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Free Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) screenings are available to eligible participants and attendees the day of the car show and benefit many men that may have never been tested. A record 250 men were tested at the 2024 event. We aim to beat that record this year!
The City of Fort Worth requires street barricades for the event to be manned. We stage volunteers at Gate or Valet locations throughout downtown Fort Worth. Gate locations are positioned to manage cross-street intersection barricades. Valet locations are positioned to help direct hotel valet lane traffic flow within the car show. For ideal coverage, we have created short shifts throughout the one-day event with a total of 96 time slots/locations. We pair volunteers at Gate/Valet locations and encourage family/friends/coworkers at least 18 years of age or older to register together. Available shifts and respective volunteer needs are as follows:
6:15am - 9:00am (24 volunteer slots)
8:45am - 11:00am (24 volunteer slots)
10:45am - 1:00pm (24 volunteer slots)
12:45pm - 3:00pm (24 volunteer slots)
Marvelous Men of Hope is included in the required drop-down field for Organization in the volunteer registration for tracking. Volunteer verification records and t-shirts are available at the end of the shifts. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for volunteers that register before August 31st.
