Saint Andrews UMC FTW Welcome to the page of Saint Andrews United Methodist Church, 522 Missouri Ave., Fort Worth, TX, 76104. Please check often for our announcements. (Rev.

Carol G. Gibson - Senior Pastor) Greetings to our guests! We pray that something is said and done to make you feel welcome and to encourage you in the way of Christ. Please come and worship with us at every opportunity. Thank you for sharing in this worship experience - Senior Pastor Rev. Carol Grant Gibson and the SAUMC Family. We are a church rich with history, but also excited about the future.

We are striving to become a multicultural church family that will welcome and encourage you. We hope you find God's blessings by worshiping Him and going where he leads. So we care enough about people’s lives to risk interpreting God’s love, to take a stand, to call each of us into a response, no matter how controversial or complex. The church helps us think and act out a faith perspective, not just go along with what appears to be the most popular choice.

We live to practice our faith in our homes, our workplaces, and our communities.
Our Mission Statement: “To Impact Lives and Make Disciples by sharing the Christian faith as we interact in the community”. Our Vision: “To GROW People who GROW PEOPLE”. Rev. Carol Grant Gibson - SENIOR PASTOR

End the day with gratitude.

Not because everything was perfect, but because God was present through all of it.

Thank Him for what He gave you today.
The strength to keep going.
The grace to get through hard moments.
The little blessings you almost overlooked.

Trust Him for what you didn’t get.
The delayed answers.
The closed doors.
The things that didn’t work out the way you hoped.

And believe Him for what He’s preparing.

Tomorrow is not empty.
Tomorrow is not unknown to God.
Tomorrow already has His mercy waiting in it.

So tonight, release the worry.
Rest in His peace.
And wake up with hope.

The same God who was faithful today will still be faithful tomorrow. 🌙🙏

A statement from the Bishop....

Today, our hearts are broken by the violence in Midland. We grieve the loss of life, pray fervently for those who are wounded and surround every family, first responder and community member with our love and prayers.

We know that this is not the world God intends. The repeated rhythm of violence, fear and loss is not something we can accept as normal. As people of faith, we are called not only to comfort the grieving, but also to stand against the forces that diminish life and fracture community.

In this moment, we recommit ourselves to the hard and holy work of peace—rejecting violence in all its forms, caring for one another more deeply and building communities where every life is treated as sacred and worthy of protection.

Even in heartbreak, we hold fast to hope. God is near to the brokenhearted, and Christ stands among us, calling us to be instruments of peace in a wounded world.

We pray for Midland today, and we commit ourselves to being part of the healing that must follow.

Today's 'Upper Room'....

In college, I served as a volunteer counselor a few weeks each summer at a Christian camp. One of my favorite camp activities involved one of my favorite foods: ice cream. We would ask the camp kitchen to help us make ice cream, and they would give us an old-fashioned, hand-cranked ice cream ...

Something BIG is coming your way....

Amen...

💥 SOMETHING BIG IS COMING YOUR WAY

— God is saying to you today —

“My child, something BIG is coming your way, and it has the power to change the direction of your life. What you have been praying about in private, I have been working on in powerful ways behind the scenes.

Do not mistake the delay for denial.

The waiting season was preparation. I was strengthening your faith, building your character, and preparing you for what comes next. The blessing I have for you requires a stronger version of you, and that is exactly what I have been developing.

Do not judge this season by what you see right now. There is more happening than you realize. While you were wondering if anything was changing, I was opening doors, arranging opportunities, and aligning the right people and circumstances.

The resistance you felt was not a sign to quit. It was a sign that you were getting closer.

I am about to do more than you expected. I am about to bring clarity where there was confusion, peace where there was worry, and direction where there was uncertainty.

Keep trusting Me.
Keep believing.
Keep moving forward.

Because the next chapter of your life will reveal that I never forgot about you. Every promise, every prayer, and every step of faith has been seen.

Stay faithful.
Stay hopeful.
Stay prepared.

Something BIG is coming your way, and when it arrives, you will understand why you had to trust Me through every part of the journey.” ✨

Demolition of the Southside Community Center is slated to begin Oct. 7 during a community celebration for Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth’s 100th birthday. The center’s services are being relocated to the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, less than half a mile away at 818 Missouri Ave.

Once the center is torn down, the National Juneteenth Museum will break ground in late 2026 or early 2027, museum CEO Jarred Howard told the Fort Worth Report.

Thank you Gerald Masters for sharing this information with us!

The Southside Community Center in Fort Worth’s Historic Southside will be demolished before museum construction begins.
