Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter! We are happy to share that the merger between Clayton Youth Enrichment and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is now official.

For more than 50 years, Clayton has been dedicated to helping children and families learn, grow, and thrive. As we join forces with BGCGTC, we're building on that legacy to create even greater opportunities for the young people we serve across North Texas.

To our families, staff, volunteers, donors, partners, alumni, and everyone who has been part of the Clayton story—thank you. Your support, trust, and commitment have made this milestone possible, and we are incredibly grateful.

While the Clayton name is becoming part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County family, our mission to serve children with excellence remains stronger than ever. Together, we'll reach more than 100,000 young people each year and continue providing safe, supportive places where every child can learn, grow, and succeed.

Thank you for being part of our journey. The best is yet to come! đź’™

We are excited to announce that the Boards of Clayton Youth Enrichment and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County have officially approved a merger. Together, the organizations represent more than 150 years of combined service and a shared commitment to providing high-quality youth development, academic support, and childcare resources to families in one of the fastest-growing regions in the country.

Under the leadership of Daphne Barlow, CEO and President of BGCGTC, the combined organization will streamline operations and leverage shared resources to meet the rapidly growing demand for academic support and youth development.

We are grateful to both Boards, leadership teams, staff, supporters, and community partners for helping make this milestone possible and look forward to the work ahead as integration efforts continue toward a summer 2026 finalization.

Happy World Book Day!

Every book opens a new door—sparking imagination, building confidence, and helping children discover the world (and themselves) one page at a time.

At Clayton, we make space for reading in our programs—whether it’s homework time, story sharing, or simply getting lost in a great book. These moments help build strong learners and curious minds that carry far beyond the classroom.

Today, we’re celebrating the joy of reading and the power of stories to inspire, connect, and grow.

After a full day of STAAR testing, our Clayton kids at June W. Davis Elementary School took a well-deserved creative break with a hands-on activity from our Time Hoppers Clayton Quest unit!

They had so much fun stepping back in time to make their own puff paint—then used it to create some seriously sweet ice cream masterpieces. 🍦 The joy (and a little bit of mess!) made for the perfect way to unwind and spark creativity after a long day.
