WOCC Alumni Highlight: Veronica Garza '09

Texas A&M took a group of alumni to Washington, D.C. to be sworn into the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court. They stood before Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Barrett, Thomas, Jackson, Kavanaugh, and Kagan as they took their oath.

Veronica Garza (Class of '09), pictured, has been a major supporter of WOCC over the years. Although WOCC did not exist when she was at TAMU, she has consistently offered her experience and resources to support WOCC. Congratulations Veronica! We are inspired by your continued success.

Reminder: The WOCC Alumni Scholarship is open for dues paying WOCC members and applications are due Dec. 17th. Have any questions? Feel free to reach out to the WOCC board members.

The purpose of the WOCC alumni scholarship is for the Class of 2021 and 2022 to give back to our current student members by providing financial support as they make their way through law school. We have been in their shoes and know that a little financial support can go a long way. Despite having graduated from law school, we want to reach back and show the current members that we care. Our goal is to give back and help the members of WOCC to succeed in law school, be able to graduate, and find success in the legal profession.
For the second year, together with over thirty alumni, we have funded a scholarship for students to assist them for the spring 2023 semester. We know how daunting the costs of school can be, and want to ease this stress a bit to ensure that WOCC members can kick off the semester strong.
