Made in memory of Kenneth Johnson and Stan Sewell, the $10,000 matching gift was given by Katie Crim and her wife, Jordan Snapka, to honor their loved ones and support LGBTQ+ youth.

Five years ago, Katie Crim lost two very special people: her dad and his husband.

For many years, Kenneth Johnson and Stan Sewell were part of the Fort Worth community through the art gallery they ran here in the city. The Edmund Craig Gallery became a space where art, creativity, and community could come together.

This North Texas Giving Day, Katie and her wife, Jordan Snapka, are making a $10,000 matching gift to LGBTQ SAVES in their memory.

Their gift is helping us work toward our $15,000 North Texas Giving Day goal, while carrying forward a legacy of love, creativity, and community.

But this match is about more than the $10,000 itself. Katie and Jordan are inviting our community to join them in supporting LGBTQ+ youth.

Pride Month doesn't stop after the parade! DFW is keeping the energy high all June long with a packed lineup of community markets, pageants, local art, and street festivals.

From family-friendly daytime gatherings to massive nighttime block parties celebrating the beautiful intersection of Pride and Juneteenth, there is a space for everyone to celebrate, connect, and show out.

LGBTQ SAVES continues to provide a safe and brave space in Fort Worth by hosting in-person and virtual weekly meetings, Pride events, and community dinners for LGBTQ youth and their families. Additionally, they provide resources to include scholarships to youth and volunteers within our organization. Trinity Pride is so grateful for our continued community collaboration and so glad to have them as part of Trinity Pride Festival.
