I’m going to respond to Tara’s soapbox of contradictions.
You say Stephen is “not home” and that the sale barn was the best option for these horses—but he also offers quarantine board on every Bowie post. Those two things don’t line up.
You say the horses were “too skinny to ship,” but in the same breath claim he could’ve sold them to a kill buyer and shipped them for $100. Which is it?
You say he does not accept donations, yet during the ROAR situation he accepted my NRS gift card donation along with thousands of dollars in support from others.
You also say he is “just a transport and that’s his job,” yet nothing I have found actually shows him as a legally verified for-hire hauling business.
You say my rescue doesn’t bring in money, but that’s not even relevant—this is exactly why I get overwhelmed and frustrated seeing so many skinny horses dumped. I am a small rescue and I cannot save them all. So saying my rescue only brings in $10 you are right and it’s not about the money this isn’t a money grab this is letting the public know what is going on. If you aren’t hiding anything this shouldn’t be a big deal.
You also mentioned my interaction with Stephen -I got two horses at the sale (Roar horses) this is while he was working with Clare, and he took them because Clare already had homes lined up.
Now Stephen’s inbox is flooded, and so is mine—with stories from people all saying very similar things. Are all of them lying?
Tara, you did the same thing with that girl Mercedes, but now because it involves someone you’re aligned with, you’re trying to shut me down and dismiss it as if I’m attacking people for no reason.
And if the story you put out is true, that is very sad for the horses and the family involved. But I’ve also heard similar stories from other traders, so it is hard to accept one version as the full truth without question.
I don’t know you personally, Tara, but a basic search raises serious concerns—not about your personal life, but about animal-related charges, legal history, and lawsuits. How many states have you been restricted in? How many animal-related cases, neglect claims, or disputes with landlords are tied to your name? Louisiana doesn’t want you, Texas doesn’t either, and now you’re in Oklahoma.
I genuinely hope you’ve changed, but I can’t ignore what I’m seeing and what people are reporting.
This is what is showing up in my inbox - the one picture is at a “feedlot” pictures of the horse listed. The lady hired him for QT and Transport and that’s how the horse showed up and he died 2 days later. That is horribly sad. So I’m sorry Stephen had to come to you Tara to respond for him. I was already aware he was going to do this. he would call all his friends scramble to get everything done. Nrs for hay, farrier, call all his friends to protect him. You all are following the exact playbook I was given… why? Because this isn’t the first time.
