Outright bans on data centers are not the right call for Texans. As a local union we represent over 2,000 workers whose jobs are directly tied to data centers, at Siemens. We also represent nearly 400 Vistra Corp. and Allied Power workers, who power these data centers. We are not advocating that these big tech companies get a blank check either.

These huge projects must have worker and community standards. We are asking that our members, allies, and affiliated organizations to stand with us in demanding real standards on these projects not senseless bans!

Awesome to see a site that many of our local union members and leadership call home, featured by the DOE.

SAFE, RELIABLE, CLEAN - NUCLEAR!!!

PEAK POWER ⛰️

Comanche Peak’s two-unit plant is located 40 miles southwest of Ft. Worth, Texas and powers more than 1 million homes.

The site is also home to Acrocanthosaurus dinosaur tracks that were discovered during the dome construction of Unit 1 in the mid-1970s, which temporarily delayed construction.

Some of the tracks and fossils found around the site are on display at the plant.

The Comanche Peak Unit 2 reactor first connected to the grid on this day in 1993.
