A beautiful Saturday morning took place this past weekend in Northside.

We celebrated the launch of the 5th edition of Northside Community Magazine, unveiled the new permanent plaque at the Mariachi Mural, and officially launched Beyond the Stockyards.

Thank you to the small businesses, community leaders, neighbors, youth, and partners who showed up and helped make this special.

Northside is building something.

Today we installed a permanent plaque at the Mariachi Mural (Serenata a la Comunidad), documenting authorship, community stewardship, and the story behind a cultural landmark that has represented Fort Worth’s Northside for years.

Public art should not become anonymous.

This is one step in preserving the story.

As Fort Worth prepares for the world’s biggest sporting event… an important question remains 👀⚽

Will the city respond with the same urgency, creativity, and enthusiasm the community is already showing? ✨

Last night at Noches de Horchata #2, neighbors, artists, small businesses, and community leaders gathered once again to imagine what Northside could become as 2026 approaches.

One thing became clear:

The community is already moving. 🔥

Local businesses are stepping up.
Artists are organizing.
Neighbors are showing up.

The question now is… who else will meet the moment?

Northside Community’s Beyond the campaign is in full swing. Long-standing and newer ones supporting each other in this emerging cultural corridor that represents the real Northside beyond the big corporate tourist developments. This is years in the making and we are happy to have developed a working campaign in time for the
next month. This is supported by the 10,000 strong magazine launch and a documentary that is capturing the moment. We want to show whether was willing to meet the moment by supporting its small business community when it mattered most - during the biggest event in the WORLD (followed by LULAC and Hispanic Chamber national conventions). .res
