Secretary- Julie Gregory

Parliamentarian - Kathy Schroeder

These nominations have been vetted by the elected nominating committee and slated as recommendations.

All interested candidates not slated are also able to attend the March 25th, 2025 meeting at 5:00 pm located at the EMS ISD Administration building and would need to just be nominated from the floor by a current council member. Voting members for this election are Principal, President and delegates from each campus as well as current 2025-2026 Council board members and one officer of the district in place of the Superintendent or the Superintendent of Schools himself.

We will host our last EMS Council of PTAs meeting at the administration building on Wednesday, 5/28, at 5pm. We look forward to seeing our campus PTA presidents, elementary principals, and a campus board designee at this meeting.

These nominations have been vetted by the elected nominating committee and slated as qualified representatives. This upcoming year will have a focus on training and leadership. The candidates will be responsible for selecting leaders to help them build their training sessions and offer these free to our local leaders.

All interested candidates not slated are also able to attend the March 26th, 2025 meeting at 5:15pm located at the Jim F. Chadwell Administration building room R218 and would need to just be nominated from the floor by a current council member. Voting members for this election are Principal, President and delegates from each campus as well as current 2024-2025 Council board members and one officer of the district in place of the Superintendent or the Superintendent of Schools himself.

The Council of PTAs is in search of leaders to provide guidance and support to our local campus boards. This commitment to serve should welcome candidates that have served in an executive position on the local level. They can still hold a position on a local board or have graduated to middle school aged kids and are wanting to give back to new leaders.

If elected a leader will commit to at least 4 meetings of the Council board, 1 Installation dinner attendance and to be available should a local need help with organizing, advice, mediation, parliamentary procedure, and a sounding board for the amazing work PTA does at each campus.

As a Council Executive board member you will work directly with executive leaders in the district as the Superintendent of Schools is on the Council of PTAs executive board and shares his time with other leaders in the district. If elected, you, each elementary school President as well as each Principal and 1 delegate are the make-up of the Board for Council. We meet in the months of September, January, March and May. We host an Officer Installation with key note speaker Superintendent Hollingsworth in the month of April.
