Folks i don't get how FB works....so i don't know why there are 2 Overton Creek FB's......so follow us on Trash Free Trinity on FB.+....The latest update for OC FTW Trash readers is that Floatable Study is being formalized and should be pulished soon. I have read the draft and its was $300,000 to tell us what any teen who waded OC could tell u.

Since its taken nearly 9 months to do the study, assuming its published soon, I assume implemeation of any recomendation is years away.

Since all the tribs of the Trinity are intermittent streams the reco for OC should apply to Marine Creek or Sycamore Creek or other tribs.

Basically besides installing some kind a screeen above Willow Creek the only other solution are differing types of elbow grease.

No rain...nothing to report......Upspire cleaned up Westcreek and the Watergoat at Foster Lake.....it hasn't rained since.....so it looks great.....Don't know status of Atkins Global Engineering project. They were supposed to meet with Willow Lake HOA's but i haven't heard anything about that meeting...If anyone has any intel post here.

Overton Creek , running thru the affluent Overton Park neighborhood is one of the most heavily polluted creeks in the Trinity watershed. The photos don't do justice to just how much trash lines its banks, and next to million dollar homes. That is what it looks like this week and 6 months ago. We haven't had rain for most of that period so when the next heavy rain comes, it seems likely Overton Creek will see 6 months of trash cascade down it, and remain, for the next months or years.

We tried to contact the officers of OPNA twice including a letter sent the week of Jan 10, 2022 with solutions to the problem. We received no response on that and an earlier attempt 6 months ago.
