Members had an impressive dining experience at Chadra Mezza & Grill, where remarkable food was accompanied by superb service and engaging social interaction.

This club year, our community service initiative involves volunteering at Bethlehem Center, a United Community Center, where we provide assistance in the clothing room by helping clients and arranging clothes, among other tasks. We also donated men's socks and underwear.

As we celebrate this Christmas season and look ahead to the New Year, the members of Progressive Alliance of Cultured Women extend our warmest wishes to our community, supporters, and fellow members. May this season bring moments of peace, hope, and joy to you and your loved ones.

This year, our celebrations are touched by both joy and grief as we remember the recent loss of our dear friend and fellow member, Laveda Goodspeed. Laveda was deeply involved in our organization and generously gave her time, energy, and heart to our mission. She was well-loved by many, and her kindness, dedication, and spirit will be greatly missed.

As we honor Laveda’s memory, we are reminded of the importance of community, compassion, and service-values she embodied so well. May we carry those values forward in the coming year.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with comfort, renewed strength, and hope.

Today was such a lovely day at the FWAFWC club, where PACW hosted the monthly senior activity! Attendees had a great time playing bingo and were delighted to win Dollar Tree gift cards. The meal was a hit too, we served up some delicious fried chicken, creamy potato salad, tasty cookies, fresh fruit, and refreshing lemonade. It was an excellent way for seniors to connect and engage by socializing, playing games, and sharing a meal!

PACW successfully hosted the first meeting of the FWAFWC for the 2025/2026 year, featuring a breast cancer awareness program and seeing President Audrey Irving receive the Black Women Lawyers Association of Tarrant County's esteemed Ruth E. Roberts Community Service Award.

We would like to congratulate our parent organization, the Progressive Literary and Art Club (PLAC), an affiliate of the Fort Worth Association of Federated Women’s Clubs (FWAFWC), on its 75th anniversary of dedicated service to the community! From its inception in 1949 to its introduction to the FWAFWC in 1950, PLAC has been one of FWAFWC’s cornerstones of support.

PLAC founded and sponsored our club, PACW, in 1971. We were honored to join them in their long-standing commitment to service and sisterhood in celebrating this milestone anniversary.

Let’s play bingo! Each month, the Fort Worth Association of Federated Women’s Clubs (FWAFWC) organizes a social event for senior citizens that features bingo and prizes, concluding with a delicious lunch. A different member organization hosts the event each month. In November, it was the turn of the Progressive Alliance of Cultured Women (PACW). PACW generously provided prizes and a meal that included fried chicken, baked beans, potato salad, dessert, and tea. It was our pleasure to host this enjoyable event! 💕

We kicked off our 2024/2025 in style, thanks to Belinda's hospitality and Skillet N Grill's culinary delights. Two potential members joined the fun, and next, we're tackling the critical stuff - mental health - with a guest speaker on October 26, 2024.

PACW participated in the Muffins & Mimosas event to kick off the 2024/2025 club year with sister clubs, providing an excellent opportunity to socialize and recruit potential members.
