As we prepare to love on the families at Morris Foundation Family Service Center this morning as a part of Why Not Love Homeless Ministry, please consider looking through your closet and pull out any weather gear, old blankets, shoes, etc. Put them in your car and if you see someone in need today, give it to them. It is freezing today in the DFW and it's not even winter yet 🥶🥶🥶

Community Action Partners will resume accepting applications for utility bill payment assistance on February 3, 2025, on a first-come, first-served basis. Vulnerable populations, such as individuals aged 60 and above, those with disabilities, and those with children under five years of age, will be given higher priority. All applicants must apply online using Neighborly Software. Walk-in and paper applications will not be accepted in 2025.

So many wondering why they can’t move forward and continue to question God with why me.. Until you surrender you will forever be stuck suffering in silence and crying asking why…

Surrendering means letting go of the need to be right.

To surrender is to stop fighting your battles and embrace peace above all. Let go of the anger towards those who’ve hurt you and choose happiness instead.

As long as you're fighting a war, peace will always escape you. As long as you're holding onto blame, making someone wrong for what they did to you, happiness will remain out of reach.

Surrendering is about releasing the negative energy weighing you down, recognizing that your joy is far more important than holding onto resentment and deciding that your happiness is more important than your need to make someone wrong. Choose peace and let healing take its place.
