Yesterday at the Texas Capitol, we hosted a Lunch & Learn with Courtney Barnes, Esq., bringing together legislators and staff for a conversation on psychedelic policy and emerging pathways for safe, regulated access.
Courtney teaches Psychedelics Law at The University of Texas School of Law and advises clients working in emerging, highly regulated fields.
Her work focuses on psychedelics, regulatory compliance, and novel legal frameworks at the intersection of law, policy, and social change. She also served as a lead drafter of the first successful voter-led psychedelic policy reform measure in the United States.
Her presentation explored how states are approaching psychedelic access programs, the legal frameworks taking shape across the country, and what these models may mean for future policy conversations in Texas.
We’re grateful to Courtney for sharing her expertise, and to everyone who joined us for a thoughtful discussion on the evolving landscape of psychedelic policy.
