We’re growing the mission of the Aaliyah Is Healed Foundation — and we’re looking for passionate leaders to join us. 💛

Our nonprofit exists to provide support, resources, and education for families with children living with sickle cell disease and pediatric cancer. Sickle cell warriors and their families face hospital stays, financial stress, emotional exhaustion, and a constant fight for hope — and we’re here to walk alongside them. Aaliyah is Healed Foundation

We are currently accepting applications for new Board Members who are:
✅ Passionate about sickle cell warriors, pediatric cancer, and community impact
✅ Experienced in areas like nonprofit leadership, healthcare, fundraising, finance, marketing, law, or community organizing
✅ Ready to serve, give, and advocate for families in North Texas and beyond

As a board member, you’ll help:
🧡 Shape the vision and strategy of the foundation
🧡 Expand programs that support families through outreach, resources, and education Aaliyah is Healed Foundation
🧡 Strengthen partnerships with hospitals, sponsors, and community organizations

It’s that time of year again 💛

From now until December 13, the Aaliyah Is Healed Foundation is hosting our Annual Blanket Drive for children undergoing chemo and hematology treatment at Cooks Children Hospital.

These little warriors spend long hours in cold hospital rooms. A soft, colorful blanket does more than keep them warm—it reminds them they are seen, loved, and never fighting alone.

🎬 Behind the Scenes: Part 1

Every great video comes with a few… creative moments. 😅 From forgetting my lines to laughing mid-sentence, this shoot reminded me that healing and hard work can still come with a good dose of humor.

These bloopers are proof that even when you’re serious about your mission, you can still have fun along the way. Because at the end of the day, authenticity connects us more than perfection ever could. ❤️

It’s always inspiring to see when passion meets purpose. 💫

Mia Robinson, Community Liaison for Novo Nordisk, reminds us that true impact comes from both innovation and empathy. For over 100 years, Novo has led in diabetes care — and for more than 40 years, they’ve been dedicated to the rare disease community, including sickle cell.

What makes Mia’s story so powerful is that she not only represents Novo — she lives the mission as a sickle cell warrior herself. Her courage and authenticity reflect exactly what partnerships like this are all about: advancing hope, together. ❤️

The Aaliyah Is Healed 5K wasn’t just a race. It was a reminder that healing happens together. Every smile, every hug, every step taken was in honor of the ones we’ve lost and the hope we carry forward.
