It's Give Out Day! The biggest day of national giving for LGBTQ organizations! We're so excited about the work we do in DFW to help transgender and gender-expansive individuals gather, grow, and flourish. Every dollar raised will go to support our Drag 101 programming and expand our Peer Support Group resources!

CenterLink is honored to be part of the inaugural Elton John Impact Awards alongside organizations and changemakers working to build a more inclusive future for LGBTQ+ communities.

Support from the Elton John Impact Awards, , and The Looking Out Foundation helps CenterLink strengthen and support more than 375 LGBTQ community centers and organizations nationwide — expanding access to mental health support, youth programs, health services, advocacy, and safe spaces for connection and belonging. That includes us here at Finn's Place!

We're so excited to announce that Ren Dobson will be joining the team at Finn's Place. A founding member of DSQO, Ren has worked hard to build third spaces that are inclusive of all identities, but especially communities of color who are often underserved. A safe haven for others, they've curated art exhibitions for q***r artists, collaborated on LGBTQ film screenings, and overseen creative direction for magazines, animation, and photo shoots. Ren will be an incredible asset to an organization that has always prioritized artists and bolster our programming for all members of DFW.

Want to celebrate Pride, but not in the mood to be sweaty outside or deal with seemingly inescapable loud music? Join us this Saturday, June 6th, from 10am-10pm for our second annual Lofi Pride!

All taking place at Finn's Place, Lofi Pride is a come-and-go event where the focus is being in community in a more chill way. We'll have featured activities every other hour, with downtime in between.

There'll be artist vendors, free food, and plenty to do. Or if you just wanna hang and vibe, that's cool too!

Give Out Day is the biggest day of giving for LGBTQ organizations! The official event is June 4th but early giving has already started. Your support this year will help ensure we get to bring Drag 101 back for its second year! We want to serve more people this year with starter makeup kits and costume support so we'll need more funding to make it happen. If we can reach $5,000, we'll be all set but every dollar above gets us more peer support groups, more students in Drag 101 and more services!

We’re honored to be a beneficiary of Elton John Impact Awards – celebrating the changemakers who are redefining culture and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community. 🌈

Because of this support and visibility from The Elton John Impact Awards, and The Looking Out Foundation, Finns Place is able to ensure our Peer Support Leads receive the necessary training and compensation for their groups. It also ensures we can host great events like LoFi pride on 6/6.

This year’s honorees – including Jonathan Bailey, Laverne Cox, Melissa Etheridge, Billie Jean King, Orville Peck and Chappell Roan – have driven change, shaped culture and made a positive impact on society.

Whether it's through participating in one of our peer support groups, reaching out to a loved one, or by talking to a mental health professional, we commend all people who take the necessary steps to take care of their own mental well-being.
