March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and at The Bright Star Project, this month means even more to us. 💙💛

Across the country, organizations and advocates are recognizing the value, gifts, and incredible potential of individuals with developmental disabilities. Since 1987, when National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities helped launch this national observance, March has been a time to celebrate inclusion, raise awareness, and promote opportunities for all.

At The Bright Star Project, we see firsthand the strength, joy, creativity, and perseverance of the students and families we serve. Every scholarship awarded, every partnership formed, and every event hosted is rooted in one belief: every child is uniquely created with purpose and promise.

This month, we invite you to:

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of a parent from DayStar Educational Services who, through The Bright Star Project, gave a designated donation over two years ago to help provide transportation for our students. While they wish to remain anonymous, we want to publicly say thank you for recognizing a need, giving so faithfully to meet it, and for the patience shown as we navigated the process of finding the right vehicle.

Because of this one gift, we were able to purchase a van last year, and we are now preparing to purchase an additional vehicle in the coming year, meaning this single donation is blessing our community with two vehicles that will serve our students for years to come.

We are truly blessed by this generosity and pray for a hundredfold return for all who continue to support and believe in this mission. 💙✨
