🙏 We warmly invite everyone to join us in this loving-kindness meditation practice. Through this meditation, we can gently release the knots of suffering within ourselves and spread that peaceful energy to our families, our communities, and the world.

This meditation session was recorded on May 9, 2026, during the 24,000 Candles Lighting Ceremony at our Vesak celebration—a sacred evening when thousands of candles illuminated the night and prayers for peace were sent to all beings everywhere.

🍀 The Loving-Kindness Prayer:
May I be well, happy, and peaceful.
May all beings be free from suffering.
May hatred be healed through compassion.
May the world live in peace and loving-kindness.

May this meditation bring peace to all of us. May it soften the hardness in our hearts, ease the tension in our minds, and awaken the compassion that already lives within us. And may the peace we cultivate within ourselves shine outward, touching our loved ones, our neighbors, and all beings throughout the world.

When we heal ourselves, we begin to heal the world around us. When we find peace within, we bring peace wherever we go.

Please take a moment to sit comfortably, breathe gently, and allow these loving-kindness prayers to wash over you like moonlight—soft, healing, and full of hope.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨

🐾 Aloka's special "paw"tograph! 🐕✨

It brought so much joy to see Aloka join the autographs of the venerable monks on the book "The Footsteps of A Buddhist Monk" by Bhikkhu Pannakara. On the last day of the Vesak Celebration at Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Center, May 10, 2026, Aloka proudly gave his paw print on the book right alongside the signatures of the venerable monks. Looking back at this wonderful moment fills our hearts with happiness all over again!

Note: For everyone wondering, the ink pad used is a special pet-friendly, safe "clean-touch" pad. The ink is only on the side facing the book's page, so it never actually touched Aloka's paw at all.

Credit: Thank you to for catching this beautiful moment!

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏

🕊️ Prayers for Peace at the 9/11 Memorial - This morning, May 13, 2026, sixteen venerable monks of the Walk for Peace—fresh from their participation at the United Nations yesterday—gathered at the 9/11 Memorial in New York. They came to offer prayers and radiate loving-kindness to all those honored and remembered in this sacred space.

Standing where so many lives were lost, we offered our intentions not only for those who are gone but for all who carry the heavy weight of grief. In the quiet stillness of the memorial, prayers rose for the healing of wounds left by violence and for the millions of hearts still tender with remembrance.

May these prayers bring comfort to every name etched in stone and ease the suffering of those who continue to mourn. May this message of peace reach across time and distance to touch every heart shaken by conflict and loss.

May these prayers also touch our own hearts, reminding us to shine the peace that lives within us. It is through cultivating this inner stillness that we find the strength to bring true peace to the outer world. Together—step by step and heart by heart—we can transform our shared reality.

In every act of remembrance, there is an opportunity for healing. In every prayer for peace, there is a seed of global transformation.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨

🙏 Deep Gratitude to Our Volunteers - Preparing for Tonight's 24,000 Candles Ceremony
Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for all the volunteers who have come from near and far to our temple over these past days, working diligently and with such focused devotion on countless tasks to prepare for tonight's sacred Light Offering Ceremony and Loving-Kindness Meditation for World Peace.
We are especially moved watching the careful, patient work of creating the lotus flower formation of 24,000 candles—the centerpiece of tonight's ceremony.
Without the dedicated help from all our volunteers—the many hands, both seen and unseen, who have contributed to this good cause of peace—it would be nearly impossible for us to gather together for an event of this magnitude. Every task completed, no matter how small, carries the weight of compassion and the intention of peace.
To every volunteer who has offered their time, energy, and mindful attention to every detail: we recognize your presence, we honor your devotion, and we are deeply moved by your generosity of heart.
To every visitor who has walked this path with us: your presence is a gift, and your prayers are the quiet strength behind this journey. We are profoundly grateful for the kindness and encouragement you bring to this sacred space.
Tonight, when 24,000 candles illuminate the darkness, know that each flame represents not just a prayer for peace, but also the collective efforts of countless generous hearts working together in harmony. This is what peace looks like when it is built together.

🍀 Portrait of Bhikkhu Paññākāra by Rubik's Cubes - We are deeply grateful and amazed by the extraordinary creative talent of Sasnula from Sasnula Creation, who recently created a stunning portrait of Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra using Rubik's cubes for the Walk for Peace.

Sasnula shared that this tribute was born from a place of deep gratitude—he bows with the utmost respect to Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra for his invaluable service, guidance, and unwavering dedication to the people of Sri Lanka. Witnessing hundreds of colorful cubes transformed into such a meaningful work of art has left us profoundly moved.

🍀 About Sasnula - A Young Record Holder:

- Handuwala Dewage Sasnula Sehansa Lakmal is an 11-year-old student in Grade 8 at Royal College Colombo, Sri Lanka, known for his exceptional talent in creating art with Rubik's Cubes. While most find it challenging to solve a single cube, Sasnula creates beautiful portraits using hundreds—typically around 600 cubes per design.

- He set a Cholan World Record by creating the largest portrait of Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake using 1,200 Rubik's cubes (measuring 91 by 68 inches), completed in just 3 hours, 13 minutes, and 7 seconds.

We are deeply honored that such a talented young leader chose to support the Walk for Peace with his remarkable gift. Thank you, Sasnula, for your creativity, your dedication, and your kind heart.

All the best, Putha. May you continue to shine brightly and inspire the world.
