If you've been in rescue for 10+ years, you may have heard the name Sandra Valdes. There's a troubling trend many of us have been talking about for years. This post has circulated for years and rings true now more than ever. Inspector Bark will speak about this on her podcast this Saturday.

Interfering with an animal cruelty investigation can lead to serious legal consequences, including fines, probation, community service, and imprisonment. This can also compromise the investigation, enabling animal abuse to continue and hindering authorities from building a case against perpetrators. When Dallas Animal Services and the Dallas Police Department merge to address very important issues within the animal welfare community, one wonders if a specific person portraying themselves as an animal advocate was in mind when this presentation slide popped up🧐 Telling an Animal Control Officer to leave during an investigation is not animal advocacy! More on this later!

Known to take dogs in the DFW area.

Those of us who advocate for animal welfare are exhausted and fed up. It’s disheartening to see kind-hearted individuals unknowingly handing over dogs to people who may not have their best interests at heart.
While these saviors are praised, the harsh reality is that many of these dogs end up in worse situations,or they don’t make it at all.

We need to stop this façade of glorifying those who “rescue” without accountability. A couple has been spotted driving around in a van, gathering dogs under the guise of saving them, but the truth is much darker.
I’ll be sharing links in the comments to groups and resources that highlight this issue.

This is why it's so important to know who's taking your money, where your money is going, and how it's being used. Do not send money without seeing the vet bills. Ask where the animals are going, and if they're being transported, ask which transport company. All dogs transported across state lines are required to have a health certificate from a vet. This woman has a history of scamming people within the Frenchie community; she has scammed many, leaving a trail of kindhearted victims who thought the money was going to the dogs. Do your due diligence. Flipping and trafficking dogs is the new "get rich" scam that has hit animal welfare communities. These scammers prey on compassionate people while profiting from innocent animals. They acquire dogs cheaply, fabricate sad stories, and resell them at premium prices to unsuspecting adopters who think they're saving a life. Meanwhile, legitimate rescues struggle for resources. Always verify an organization's credentials, ask for veterinary records, and research their reputation before donating or adopting. Together, we can protect both animals and the kindhearted people trying to help them.

Exciting news! 📣 Another episode of Inspector Barks podcast is coming up this Wednesday! After decades in animal welfare, we're tackling an urgent issue - the new wave of exploitation entering the Rescue community.
She will be discussing the red flags to watch for when working with rescues, something needed now more than ever. we're seeing a concerning rise in "rescuers" who take in dogs, pocket the money, and then euthanize the animals.
Always follow up - ask questions when someone posts about a dog, follow where they go, and continue asking questions about that dog's whereabouts.

We want to address recent community concerns. When approached about sharing certain information about the lastest fued in Rescue, we declined because we don't engage in anything until We do our own research. Thats not picking sides or defending anyone, it’s what we believe is the right thing to do.- we rely on facts, open records, and official public reports.
And after careful consideration we didnt want a part of it.

This approach has proven valuable. Recently, several community members contacted us about uncomfortable encounters with an individual. Last night, we received information about Frank Mager’s ( ROADBLOCK’S HOME) criminal history including r**e, aggravated assault, and kidnapping convictions. This individual was apparently introduced to our community of trusting women. He was released in 2020 following 25 years of incarceration. He is reportedly a registered s*x offender for life.

This situation illustrates exactly why we maintain our policy of verification and caution. We stand neither with January nor Todd - we stand for what is right and ethical, prioritizing our community's safety through factual information.
We understand many have a past, but when it’s at this level, we will not remain silent. We protect animals and humans.
We will not tolerate threats so if you come on here or in our messenger threating us to remove, you will be blocked!
