Yesterday, 7 committed community members came together to restart the Hubbard Heights Neighborhood Association. And every single one lives and or works right here in our neighborhood.

That’s how change starts. Not with talk, but with people willing to lead.

The real work begins now.

We’ll be out soon canvassing door-to-door to invite every neighbor to be part of what’s next.

Hubbard Heights belongs to all of us, and we’re building this together.

🙏🏼 Thank you, community. We’re grateful for your continued support. Stay tuned.

💥 Don’t let decisions be made without you. 🚨

Hemphill is changing. The question is, will you have a voice in it?

The movement behind Hemphill No Se Vende was born because neighbors refused to be ignored as development and displacement concerns grew in our community.

Now it's time to continue organizing.

We’re forming a Neighborhood Association for Hubbard Heights. This is how we:
• Stay informed
• Protect our community
• Build power together

👉🏼 If you live here, this affects you.

This first meeting is for residents to connect, share concerns, and organize together.

Built by neighbors. Led by the people who live here.

Neighbors first. Community-led.
Show up. Speak up. Make sure your voice is part of what happens next. We'll see you There. (Westside parking lot - Hemphill side)

🚨 Hemphill Community showed up and the city is finally listening.

Yesterday’s Hemphill Corridor meeting proved one thing: our community is paying attention and we’re not staying silent.

Huge thank you to everyone who pulled up, spoke out, and stood for Hemphill. 🙌🏼

Special shoutout to Juan Martinez and others who courageously raised concerns about safety and crime impacting our streets. That conversation matters.

But here’s what most people don’t know yet 👇🏽

⚠️ The city is planning to RESTRIPE Hemphill St. Which is why they want our input. They stated the lines are losing visibility and is a traffic safety concern. Which now raises the question,  what ever happened to the raised, reflective markers used to separate Hemphill’s traffic lanes? Anyhow.

They presented 3 options:
1️⃣ Leave it as is
2️⃣ Hybrid (3-lane some parts, some parts 4-lane)
3️⃣ Full 4 lanes down Hemphill

This isn’t just about paint on the road.
This is about safety, traffic flow, local businesses, and the future of our neighborhood.

More meetings are coming. More decisions will be made. And if we’re not in the room (or at least in the conversation), decisions WILL be made without us.

💬 Drop your thoughts below:
Which option do YOU support and why?

📢 Follow us to stay updated on future
meetings, community actions, and how to make your voice count.

P.S. the request for Hemphill’s traffic studies has not yet been fulfilled.

We walked inside what’s left.
Not ashes… someone’s livelihood.
Not debris… years of sacrifice.

This didn’t come out of nowhere.
Warnings were made.

This isn’t one fire.
It’s a pattern.
Different locations. Same outcome.
And every time, someone saw it coming.

So the real question is…
Who’s paying attention before the next one?

⚠️ South Fort Worth businesses deserve protection, not reactions.

Show up Next Monday. As the City presents their findings of a traffic study conducted on Hemphill. It could go back to 4 lanes. They’re asking for your input.

Now is the time.

Decisions are being made about Hemphill
and they will impact every business, every neighbor, every future here.

Show up. Speak up. Be heard.
Because if you’re not in the room…
you’re not in the decision.

While we're there, let's not forget to ask How many businesses have to burn before something changes?

This is what community looks like. 💪🏼

This past weekend, our people showed up.
From Team JPS volunteers who drove over an hour…
To neighbors right here in South Fort Worth…
To the Ryan Place community cleaning their own streets…

Different backgrounds. Same mission.
We didn’t just pick up trash,
We showed what it means to stand for something.

This is Hemphill.
This is pride.
This is No Se Vende.

To every single volunteer, THANK YOU!

You didn’t just give your time… you invested in a community that refuses to be forgotten.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re just getting started. Aqui Estamos y No Nos Vamos.

This business owner warned the city… then it burned down.

He reported fires near his shop.
He warned about chemicals.
He asked for help.
Nothing was done.

Today, his business is gone.
Burned to the ground.
The response?
“I’m sorry.”

Is that what taxpayer-funded safety looks like?
This is happening across South Fort Worth.
How many warnings get ignored before something changes?

📢 Share this. Tag city leaders. Demand action.
Because “I’m sorry” doesn’t rebuild a business.

🚨 HEMPHILL UPDATE: WE’RE STILL WAITING ON THE FULL DATA 🚨

The City of Fort Worth is hosting a meeting to present findings on the Hemphill corridor.

But here’s what you should know:
A request has been submitted for ALL traffic studies on Hemphill from the past 10 years.

📄 Those records have NOT been released yet.

So while this meeting matters…it may not be the full picture.

👀 That’s why showing up is important:
✔️ Hear what’s being presented
✔️ Ask questions
✔️ Make sure transparency stays part of the conversation

Because real decisions shouldn’t be made on partial information.
