At The Ladder, we are always inspired by students who remind us what growth, gratitude, and determination truly look like. Lou Thomas is one of those students.

When Lou graduated from our POST course, she left us with something truly special, a heartfelt letter filled with appreciation for everyone who supported her journey. From her classmates, to our volunteers, to the incredible women at Carrieโ€™s Closet, Lou made sure no one was forgotten. That kind of gratitude speaks volumes about who she is.

In her own words, Lou shared her journey with honesty and strength. She came into the program facing challenges but made a decision to keep going, to keep learning, and to believe in herself. She expressed how much she valued the support, patience, and encouragement she received, and how it helped her grow not just in skills, but in confidence.

Lou is a dedicated and motivated learner. She practices consistently outside of class, pushes herself to improve, and takes pride in every step forward for herself and her family. Her kindness, humility, and positive spirit have made a lasting impact on everyone around her.
