Heather’s message to the 2026 UTA Social Work graduates was simple but powerful: poverty doesn’t look the same for everyone, solutions should be personal, our work should be driven by what the evidence tells us, and we should lean into our strengths.
As a proud UTA alumna herself, Heather earned her Master of Social Work from UTA, making the opportunity to return and speak to the 2026 graduates especially meaningful.
