An informal gathering with music, writing prompts, and reflection spaces throughout the house.

A Juneteenth Celebration: Family GatheringAn intergenerational program featuring hands-on art-making stations, storytelling activities, music, BBQ, and community connection.

We are also inviting artists, storytellers, and art educators who would like to facilitate an art activity or activation station during the Juneteenth Celebration to fill out the Artist Interest Form. Selected artists will receive a stipend. We will be selecting up to 4 artists.

✨Reflecting on an inspiring workshop experience during closing weekend of Southern Soliloquies with Bernardo Vallarino, Cecilia Sierra, and Ruth Buntello.
🖼️ Each artist brings a unique approach to creativity and exploration. From Bernardo Vallarino’s interactive scavenger hunt, to Cecilia Sierra’s engaging printmaking session, and Ruth Buntello’s watercolor and oil pastel transfer techniques, the day became a collaborative journey through process, experimentation, and discovery.
🙏🏽 Thank you to everyone who joined us in creating, learning, and connecting through art.
