Strange VOC gasses spikes with winds from the Southwest into Northside Historic Marine Neighborhood tonight. Our hyper-local air monitor on 1400 N Commerce is showing higher changes from normal compared to our other citywide air monitors. The accompanying odor is rancid and skunk related. Point of source other than direction from is unknown.

There is a history of higher Nox air pollution in Southeast Fort Worth Echo Heights near the FedEx massive diesel truck center compared to west side Ridglea neighborhood Westside Fort Worth. Northside Fort Worth Air placed an air monitor near Echo Heights. FedEx promised an air monitor there as part of a deal to renew a permit to operate but has not provided it after a year.

High spikes in NOx air pollution in southeast Echo Heights compared to Ridglea Westside FW on several dates. Echo Heights is adjacent to an industrial growth center.

PM2.5 pollution comparison between FW Northside Historic Marine and Ridglea areas. PM 2.5 pollution is constantly 2x’s or more in Northside in the comparison.

In the news. Ground level ozone pollution continues to be a problem in Dallas/Fort Worth. PM 2.5 pollution also poses a risk. D/FW ranks 9th in poor air quality nationally. Pollution poses many health risks for both children and adults.

Over night PM2.5 pollution data from Northside Fort Worth Air from our monitors in Northside, Southeast and Westside, privately owned by us. Data indicates double the amount of PM2.5 pollution in Northside and Southeast Fort Worth compared to Westside overnight.
