Community, we are so excited to hold our 3rd Freedom School at the UFW Community Justice Center!

💜 We feel privileged and blessed to be able to continue sharing space with all of you. It’s been a rough last few years and we want to acknowledge the exhaustion and grief that these systems continue to put us through. We want to take a collective deep breath and make space to hold each other, to just be.

🧘🏽 That is why this year Freedom Summer School is all about Healing. Community, this space is for you. We are worthy and deserving of all the healing and rest. Healing is political, it is resistance, and it is also a way of fighting back. Rest is political, it is resistance and it is a way of fighting back.

👏🏿This Freedom School couldn’t have happened without all the beautiful minds that gathered to share their thoughts about healing, healing exploration, communal practices and their love for community. Shout out to all of you and thank you for all your help.

☕️ Please join us for our first event as we explore communal healing with Charlie Satnam Guajardo of Meta Made, and Clarice Criss of Herbun Healing, this Saturday night at 7pm!

🌻We also want to hear from you, what does healing mean to you? How have you practiced it in your life? What healing spaces could we continue to create together?

Spanish interpretation will be available at this and all of our Freedom Summer School events. 💜

It's that time of the year again! We are hosting our 3rd Annual Drive Through Toy Drive for the Polytechnic Heights Neighborhood at the UFW Community Justice Center! Come show some love to our community as we continue to take care of each other. You can support by dropping off unwrapped toys at Black coffee or at our toy drop-off event this weekend 12/18 at 10AM - 12 PM at the UFW Justice Center. ❤️

We are hosting our 2nd Annual DRIVE THROUGH Toy Drive and Pick Up for the Polytechnic Heights neighborhood at the UFW Community Justice Center! ❤️

🎁 Come share some community love by dropping off new and unwrapped toys for some of the coolest kids in the Funk on December 16th at 5 PM.

🎁 This will be a drive through toy drive to keep everyone safe. We ask that you keep your mask on as you pull up.

The Fort Worth city budget will be voted on September 21st. What do you think should be in that budget? How should your tax dollars be spent? Tell your elected officials and city staff what you have in mind at any of the upcoming District Town Halls! Bring your questions as well, staff will be on site to answer them! Redistricting and upcoming bond projects will also be discussed. Next town hall is TONIGHT in District 9. And there will be a VIRTUAL BUDGET TOWN HALL on September 8th.
