What a wonderful evening at our Community Baby Shower! 🍼✨

Healthier Moms and Babies was thrilled to welcome 92 families to the Renaissance Pointe YMCA for an evening filled with learning, laughter, and meaningful connections!

From interactive educational sessions from Parkview Hospital and Navigate Maternity community resources to photo booth fun, giveaways, and more, we loved bringing families and community partners together to celebrate and support the moms in our community.

A HUGE thank you to the Renaissance Pointe YMCA, our community partners, vendors, and volunteers who helped make this event possible. Your support makes a difference for families in our community!

Our 2026 Fighting for Firsts kickoff is NEXT WEEK!

Preterm birth is one of the leading causes of infant mortality. Babies born before 37 weeks have a higher risk of lifelong complications. Since 2015, Healthier Moms and Babies have helped 3,500 babies reach their first birthday. We are fighting for the firsts of all of our neighbors.

Join us on October 21st at our Volunteer Networking Event at Hop River Brewing Company to meet our Champions and support our tiniest neighbors by wrapping diapers!

Meet Ashley.

Ashley enrolled in Healthier Moms and Babies looking for guidance, stability, and someone she could trust to help support her during here pregnancy. When she enrolled in our program she was facing several challenges, including limited financial resources, an unstable work schedule without maternity leave, and concerns about postpartum depression and anxiety based on her previous experience. Through home visiting services, Ashley found consistent, one-on-one support that helped her navigate both immediate needs and long-term goals.

October is Safe Sleep Awareness Month! 💙

At Every Birth Network, we know that creating safer sleep environments for babies takes all of us. Our Community Safe Sleep Ambassador Program connects local organizations with nationally recognized safe sleep training provided by for Kids®, along with resources and support to bring consistent, evidence-based safe sleep education into the communities they serve.

Through our tiered Advocate, Educator, and Champion model, organizations can participate at a level that makes sense for their role and capacity—helping us build a shared community approach to safe sleep across Allen County.

This Safe Sleep Awareness Month, we’re celebrating the partners already doing this important work and inviting more organizations to join us! 💤💙

Every Birth Network Manager Tara Held presented at the Cribs for Kids Conference today, sharing “From Community to Crib: A Tiered Model for Transforming Safe Sleep Practices Locally.”

Tara highlighted how community feedback helped shape Every Birth Network’s Safe Sleep Ambassador Program, from identifying gaps and inconsistencies in safe sleep education to building a flexible, community-wide approach using Cribs for Kids Safe Sleep Ambassador Training.

We’re proud to see this work helping strengthen safe sleep education and support families across our community.
