As our 2026 dental service trip comes to a close, we are proud to reflect on what we accomplished together this week!

✨ 36 dedicated volunteers came together as this year’s Sonrisas Siempre brigade—united by service, excellence, and compassion.

🦷 We served 273 patients in the clinic, completing:
• 201 fillings
• 66 extractions
• 6 endodontic procedures
• 19 stainless steel crowns
• 91 SDF applications
• 71 sealants

🏔️ Our mountain outreach team served 251 patients across 4 remote sites, completing 348 extractions.

🪥 Our hygiene clinic completed 238 cleanings, with 118 of those patients needing preventive care only.

🏥 With the collaboration and support of a local anesthesiologist team for the second year in a row now, we completed 6 hospital-based cases for patients with complex needs.

🚧 Our worker bees repaired and replaced 4 dental chairs, 3 dental lights, and 2 suction systems in 3 local schools—ensuring care continues long after we’ve left.

🎉 We are deeply grateful to every volunteer, partner, and supporter who made this work possible. Together, we are creating lasting impact in Comayagua and advancing health, dignity, and opportunity. 💙 🇭🇳

✨ We are incredibly fortunate to partner with Indiana University and to have such outstanding students serving alongside us this week. With 4 dental hygiene students, 3 dental lab technology students, and 2 D4 dental students, their skill, dedication, and teamwork make a tremendous difference in our brigade’s impact. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to service and learning. 🦷

An incredible first day in Comayagua 🇭🇳—cleaning, orientation, clinic setup, screenings, and even our first patients. We found our rhythm quickly and hit the ground running. Proud of this team and the work we’re doing together. Now ending the day with a well-earned dinner at El Torito. 🦷

We’ve arrived in Comayagua, Honduras 🇭🇳 — 36 people and 59 suitcases accounted for!

Our team is ready for a meaningful week of service, connection, and impact. Grateful for safe travels and excited to get to work providing dental care to the community. 🦷 Also, it’s 78 degrees and sunny! ☀️ 😎

☀️ We’re looking forward to warmer weather, building new connections, and reconnecting with familiar faces. Most importantly, we’re preparing for a meaningful and impactful week providing much-needed dental care to the community. 🦷
