October is National Arts & Humanities Month! 🎶✨

At UNITY, we believe the arts have the power to tell stories, inspire creativity, build confidence, and bring people together. Through music, dance, and performance, young artists are given opportunities to express themselves, discover their gifts, and make a lasting impact.

This month, we celebrate the artists, educators, and communities who continue to make the arts an essential part of our world.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Evelyn Frierson. 💜

Evelyn’s love, grace, and spirit of service left a lasting impact on UNITY and on the many lives she touched. Her memory continues to inspire us to serve others with the same kindness, generosity, and care that she shared so freely.

May we carry her legacy forward in the way we love, lead, and serve.

This Gospel Music Heritage Month, UNITY celebrates the powerful legacy of gospel music and the artists who have helped shape its sound across generations. 🎶✨

From Mahalia Jackson and Thomas Dorsey to Shirley Caesar, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, and James Cleveland, gospel music continues to inspire, uplift, and bring people together.

That legacy holds a special place in UNITY’s story, too. We’re proud to have earned World Championship Gold Medals in the Gospel Category in both 2010 in China and 2024 in New Zealand!

This month, we honor the music, the history, and the voices that continue to carry gospel forward.
