Big shoutout to the All Pro Dad crew and students at Fortville Elementary School! 🎒🌳

We spent a wonderful afternoon together planting three bare-root Catalpa trees at FES. They may look like sticks today, but they are already beating the odds; just one week later, they are already sprouting their very first leaves! 🍃

We love seeing the next generation connect so deeply with nature. Welcome to Indiana, little trees!

We had an amazing time at Eco Fest Fort Wayne celebrating our favorite dynamic duo: trees and pollinators!

We got our hands dirty making native wildflower seed balls. These little seed balls will grow into vital foraging habitats for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, who in return keep our urban canopy thriving. 🌎

Thanks for coming out and digging in with Trees Indiana! 💚

What’s happening beneath the surface is just as important as what’s above! 🌳

Think of tree roots as a natural net for Indiana’s riverbanks. Without them, the soil has nothing to hold onto, leading to collapse and erosion. When we protect our trees, we’re saving our rivers, our water quality, and our wildlife habitats. 🦅🐟

Did you know Indiana’s official state tree, the Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera), is actually a member of the magnolia family? 🌸🌿

Often called the "yellow poplar," this majestic giant is a staple of our Indiana forests. Here’s why we love it:
✨ It features distinctive, beautiful tulip-shaped flowers.
🍃 Its unique leaves are super easy for kids (and adults!) to identify.
📏 It can grow over 100 feet tall!
🏛️ It’s been a proud symbol of Indiana’s natural heritage since 1931.

Have you spotted a Tulip Tree bloom yet?

Happy National Kids to Parks Day! 🌳🎒

The best classrooms don't always have four walls. Today is the perfect excuse to get the next generation outside to explore and connect with the vibrant parks right in our own neighborhoods.

Every trail walked, leaf examined, and tree climbed is a chance to grow a lifelong environmental advocate. 🌎

Grab the kids, head to your favorite green space, and let the adventure begin! ✨

Those tangled log jams you see in Indiana’s rivers are more than just debris, they’re functional speed bumps for our waterways.

By slowing down the flow, they protect our banks from erosion and create vital rest stops for fish and turtles. 🐢🐟
