Allen County Triad

Allen County Triad Triad is a partnership of three organizations - law enforcement, senior citizens, and community groups.

Safe At Home
Safe At Home is a FREE emergency registration system for residents of Allen County, Indiana. Every year emergency personnel respond to hundreds of telephone calls to homes where there is a possible emergency situation but are unable to gain immediate access to important information. Registering in the Safe at Home Emergency Registration System provides important contact information to

emergency personnel before the emergency occurs. SAFENET
SAFENET is a FREE identification program for individuals with memory impairment. It is common for individuals with memory impairments to wonder and roam. This is a terrifying thought and can be dangerous for the patient and caregivers. SAFENET, in cooperation with local healthcare and law enforcement agencies, can assist in the return of the individual who has wondered. After registration, the patient will get a coupon for a FREE identification bracelet to be redeemed at local Walgreens Drug Stores. A TRIAD representative will contact you to complete the enrollment process which includes optional picture identification. Unwanted Medication Disposal
Unwanted Medication Disposal occurs twice a year in Allen County at selected Walgreens Drug store locations every fourth Friday in September and April from 9am-1pm(April 2011 will be on the 5th Friday due to Good Friday). This program assists in safely disposing of unwanted medications that may have expired, no longer prescribed, or the owner of the medications has passed away. Utilizing this program and properly disposing of medications helps keep seniors and children safe in the home as well as keeps the medications out of the county’s water supply. 🚨 SCAM ALERT WEDNESDAY 🚨
Scammers are getting smarter and they're targeting older adults every day through phone calls, text messages, emails, and social media.

Remember these simple rules:

βœ… Talk to a trusted friend or family member before making financial decisions

If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and take a moment to verify before responding.

A safer community starts with looking out for one another.

This month, Allen County TRIAD is sharing tips, resources, and information designed to help older adults and their families stay safe, independent, and connected.

Sometimes the most important safety tool isn't a lock or alarmβ€”it's a conversation.

Tag a friend, neighbor, or family member who helps make our community stronger every day. ❀️

πŸ“Ή As a continuation of our efforts for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we are partnering with Cinema Center to present "Victim/Suspect" on June 24 at 1:00 PM. This free event is open to the public and will include a virtual Q&A session with the two women the documentary is about, Dyanie Bermeo and Emma Mannion.

"Victim/Suspect" is a documentary that tells the story of two young women, Dyanie Bermeo and Emma Mannion, who tell the police they've been sexually assaulted. But, instead of finding justice, they are charged with false reporting, arrested, and even imprisoned by the system they believed would protect them.

🩡We hope you will join us for this incredible event!

A powerful reminder that hope is real. ❀️

Nicole once walked through our doors carrying nothing β€” no documents, no job, no money, and no idea what her future would look like. She was in the exact same position many of the women in our shelter are in today.

This week, she came back to share her story and encourage our guests to keep going. Through hard work, determination, and utilizing the support available to her through our case management services, Nicole rebuilt her life one step at a time.

Today, she is thriving, living in her own home and working full-time as a nurse. πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈβœ¨

Her message to the women was simple but powerful: β€œYou can do this too.”

We are so proud of Nicole and grateful she came back to pour hope into the women walking the same path she once did. Stories like hers are why we do this work every single day. πŸ’•
