The Road No One Chooses
Some people around the world take a perilous journey through jungles, mud, and raging rivers, crossing Panama, Colombia, the Darién Gap, and Panama, all with one fragile hope: to reach the United States.
They walk for days, sometimes weeks.
They carry children on their backs.
They sleep hungry, soaked, and afraid.
Some are injured. Some disappear. Some die on the road before ever seeing the country they believed could offer safety and a future.
Children face unimaginable dangers along the way — illness, exhaustion, violence, and sometimes death. This journey is not made for adventure or comfort. It is made because remaining home often feels impossible.
That is why The Vine Haiti’s vision is sustainability.
A future where people no longer have to risk their lives just to survive.
A future where basic needs — food, clean water, healthcare, job creation, then education, and dignity — are available at home.
