Today we celebrate 5 years! 🎉

Over the last five years, we’ve had the privilege of sheltering and serving more than 575 women as they rebuild their lives. It has been an honor to walk alongside each woman and witness their strength, resilience, and growth.

We are incredibly grateful for every donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter who has believed in our mission. We truly could not do this work alone.

Thank you for supporting us these last five years and for being part of our story. ❤️

A powerful reminder that hope is real. ❤️

Nicole once walked through our doors carrying nothing — no documents, no job, no money, and no idea what her future would look like. She was in the exact same position many of the women in our shelter are in today.

This week, she came back to share her story and encourage our guests to keep going. Through hard work, determination, and utilizing the support available to her through our case management services, Nicole rebuilt her life one step at a time.

Today, she is thriving, living in her own home and working full-time as a nurse. 👩‍⚕️✨

Her message to the women was simple but powerful: “You can do this too.”

We are so proud of Nicole and grateful she came back to pour hope into the women walking the same path she once did. Stories like hers are why we do this work every single day. 💕

Lizzaea got keys to her own place! While at the shelter, Lizzaea gained employment and saved up her money for this day.

🎉 We are thrilled to congratulate our incredible volunteer, Wendy Stein on receiving the Community Leadership Award and being named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Fort Wayne Rotary Club in recognition of her outstanding servant leadership throughout Fort Wayne. This honor is so well deserved.

Not only has she made a tremendous impact across our community, but she has also been instrumental in helping bring best practices, insight, and leadership to our board and committees here at St. Joseph Missions Women’s Shelter. Her wisdom, heart for service, and dedication continue to strengthen our organization and the women we serve every day.

We are especially grateful that through this recognition, The Fort Wayne Rotary Club will donate $1,000 to an organization of Wendy’s choice and she chose St. Joseph Missions to receive it. What a meaningful reflection of her commitment to our mission.

Please join us in celebrating and thanking her for the countless ways she serves others with compassion, humility, and excellence. We are so grateful for her leadership and friendship. Congratulations on this incredible honor!

We are incredibly grateful for this partnership! Two Men And A Truck - Fort Wayne, IN knocked their Movers for Mom campaign out of the park. We don’t want women who walk thru our doors to have to worry about essential hygiene items. This campaign ensures they don’t.

Today is Lizzie’s last day as our Ivy Tech Human Services intern. We are so proud of her and deeply appreciate the love, dedication, and care she poured into our organization during her time with us. She has made a meaningful impact, and we are grateful to have been part of her journey. We wish her nothing but the very best in all that comes next!
