Welcome to the team, Avah! 🎉

Avah attends Leo High School and is interning with our Development Team to explore careers centered around helping others and making a difference. In her role, she will gain hands-on experience in donor stewardship, relationship-building, fundraising, events, and community engagement. Avah also brings an important perspective to our team, helping us better understand how to engage and connect with the next generation of volunteers, donors, and community leaders.

We're excited to have Avah on the Habitat GFW team! Her positive attitude, willingness to jump in, and enthusiasm for learning have made her a great addition to our organization, and we look forward to seeing her continue to grow!

Say hello to Caleb! 👋🏼 Caleb is a senior at Carroll High School and interns with our Leadership and Development teams!

When he's not running track, rock climbing, or hanging out with friends, Caleb is gaining behind-the-scenes experience in nonprofit management. He chose Habitat because he wanted to learn how a nonprofit operates while making a difference right here in Fort Wayne.

As part of his internship, Caleb works closely with our CEO, Melissa McKown, attending leadership meetings, tackling projects, and helping keep day-to-day operations moving smoothly. Caleb hopes to sharpen his leadership, decision-making, and business management skills while connecting with community leaders.

We're excited to have Caleb on the Habitat team! 💙

Congratulations to new Habitat Homeowner, Melissa! We had a great day celebrating the completion of Melissa's new home in Huntington!

A special thank you to Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority, Ardelle and Theresa Glaze Foundation, Bippus State Bank, Incipio Devices, Schroeder's Automotive Specialists, and W.A. Zimmer Company for their support in making this affordable home possible.

W.A. Zimmer had the honor of handing the keys to Melissa, and they'll donate two rocking chairs so she can enjoy her new front porch every morning with a cup of coffee! ☕🌞

We're beyond grateful for the Huntington community and their support of Habitat families like Melissa's. And we aren't stopping there...
