Well, just 100 miles to go before we reach Fort Wayne and we feel it’s only fair to amend our earlier statement about it not being Ohio “Road-Tax” days as we’ve just spotted our 12th trooper in a 37 mile stretch of Highway. It’s a great way to offset the loss of gas tax relief and also keep us, if not on guard, safe as we travel these last miles through Ohio-LOL.

Team LMVFM is on our final leg home from our trip to the NALC Atlantic Mission Region convocation. We’ve just crossed into Ohio and are very thankful to Ohio Gov Mike DeWine for following Indiana Gov Mike Braun’s leadership in extending gas tax relief to those traveling the very well policed Ohio Highways. We are also grateful that unlike our last trip through this does not appear to be a “Road-Tax” day-lol.

One of the greatest things we enjoy on our ministry trips is being able to spend quality time with folks like our Board President, Chris Voors who are seriously invested in making sure our veterans and their families receive quality counselling and care that we provide. Chris has been counselling veterans for over 31 years and a true blessing to our ministry and those we serve.

The LMVFM team is on its’ way home having spent two great ministry days with the folks at the Atlantic Mission Region convocation at Holy Cross Lutheran in Nazareth, PA. It was great seeing old friends and ministry partners and meeting new ones as well. As is par for the course, Dooly was the star of the team! Thank you to the AMR team for inviting us and making us feel so welcomed.
