Summer learning is in full bloom 🌼☀️

Today’s walk turned into a sensory adventure as our little learners stopped to smell the flowers, feel different textures, and explore the world around them. Even our babies got some time to touch grass and experience nature firsthand!

Outdoor exploration supports language development, sensory processing, curiosity, and mindfulness—all while making sweet summer memories. 💚🌿

Growing minds while growing our garden 🌼🌱

A huge thank you to PNC volunteers for helping us rebuild our garden space! Our kids had such a fun hands-on learning experience planting marigolds, watering the soil, and pulling weeds while learning what it takes to keep a garden healthy and growing.

Gardening teaches patience, responsibility, and how plants need care, sunlight, water, and attention to thrive. Soon, our garden will be blooming with colorful flowers and fresh veggies for everyone to enjoy! 🥕🌻🍅

This month’s Harvest of the Month from Parkview was rhubarb! 🌱❤️

Our preschoolers explored rhubarb with all their senses, tasting its tart flavor (and making some hilarious funny faces 😆), feeling its unique texture, smelling its fresh scent, and even using the stalks as paintbrushes to create art!

Did you know? Rhubarb is a vegetable, even though it’s often used like a fruit in pies and jams! Its bright red stalks are safe to eat, but the leaves are not. Learning about healthy foods through hands-on experiences helps children build curiosity, confidence, and a love for trying new things. 🍓🎨

Because of your generosity, our children can splash, explore, dig, and play outside in the mud without worrying about getting messy. Outdoor play helps spark creativity, confidence, and so much joy — and these Muddy Buddies make it all possible, rain or shine!

Sunshine, splashes, and so much learning 💦☀️
Our toddlers explored water play this week—pouring, scooping, and experimenting with cause and effect. These simple moments build fine motor skills, introduce early science concepts, and spark curiosity about how the world works.

Play is powerful, and even a little water can turn into a big learning adventure 🌈

Our preschoolers got a little messy and a lot creative today—painting with their feet! 🎨👣 Through this fun, hands-on activity, they explored sensory play, built fine and gross motor skills, and practiced working together as a team.

Tasty Tuesday with NAEYC ! 🎨🍓🥣

Today our little learners explored food in a fun and creative way—using mixed cereals and fresh fruits to paint, create, and of course… taste! 😋

This hands-on activity supports sensory development, encourages creativity, and introduces healthy food choices in a playful environment. Experiences like these help build fine motor skills, spark curiosity, and promote positive relationships with nutritious foods.

Learning through play (and a little mess!) is always the best part of our day 💛
