RECAP!!!!

Last night, we had an amazing end to the year with an awesome game night!!! We had board games, candle painting, 9-square, spikeball, and more! It was a great time to take a break from studying and spend some time with friends!

With that, this is our LAST CM of the year! We have 2 events planned for this summer, so stay tuned on the Instagram and Remind for more details!

Good News/Bad News: Bad News first...we cannot take any more registrations for the Spring Celebration. 😔 Good News...we are completely full and the auction is open! 😄 Even if you cannot attend, you can still bid on items now! The auction closes at 7pm on Friday, May 1 so bid early and bid often!

This week, we will be having a Game Night!  

This is our LAST CM of the year!! We are going to end our year by having a night to play games and be in fellowship with each other! If you don’t like games, come anyway!! There will be plenty of people to chat with!

RECAP!!!!

Last night, Harry and Lucy spoke on Faith Over Feelings! They both did an excellent job and clearly explained how to keep your eyes and heart focused on the Lord even when feelings arise!

In case you missed it, here are 3 takeaway points!
1. Our feelings can (and will) change, but God’s Word does not. Acknowledge what you feel, but choose to stand on what God says.
2. When feelings are left unchecked, they become functional lords. They are good servants but terrible masters. Do not let them become your master!
3. Emotions are indicators, NOT dictators and they are not the ultimate authority; God’s truth is.

For CM L8TER, we played kickball! Even after the rain, we still managed to play an awesome, competitive, and fun game of kickball! So grateful for CM L8ter!!

Next week! GAME NIGHT!!!! And our final CM of the year!! Hope to see you there!!

WEDNESDAY!!!

This week, Lucy and Harry will be speaking on Faith Over Feelings!!! This will be our last traditional conversations night of the year!

Harry and Lucy will be talking about what it truly means to live life by faith instead of being led by our emotions. They will explain that while feelings are real and God-given, they are not meant to rule us. If you feel like feelings rule your life, come this Wednesday to learn how to refocus on the Lord!

RECAP!!!!

Last night, Preston and Moe talked over Righteous Anger and Suffering! They both did an amazing job leading and explaining what an intimidating topic actually means!

In case you missed it, here are 3 takeaway points!
1. God’s anger is righteous; perfectly just and meant to lead people to repentance or show the consequences of sin.
2. We often misunderstand God’s anger and suffering, but His anger is purposeful and temporary, and suffering can strengthen our faith.
3. Suffering comes from a sinful world and spiritual opposition; God allows it, but uses it as part of our faith journey.

For CM L8TER, we went to Culver’s! We ate some ice cream and chatted up a storm!!

Next week! Lucy and Harry will be teaching over Faith Over Feelings!! This will be our last traditional conversations night of the year! You won’t want to miss it!!!

This week, Moe and Preston will be teaching over Righteous Anger/Suffering!

They are going to ask, and answer, the question “is God’s anger righteous?” and how that ties into why we suffer within this broken world! If this sounds intimidating, come listen and hear some truth about it!

Last night, Tyler Ford taught us over Finances!! He did an amazing job and gave lots of amazing insight about finances all throughout the Bible!

In case you missed it, here are 3 takeaway points!
1. The LOVE of money is the ROOT of evil (1 Timothy 6:9-10)
2. Change “do I have to tithe?” to “do I GET to tithe?”.
3. Focus on yourself and your own financial iceberg. Don’t compare!!!!

For CM L8TER, we went to Portillo’s! We had some delicious dessert to end our night after we got to eat some free pizza earlier!
