THE SEARCH FOR KEVIN NGUYEN CONTINUES -- COMBINED REWARDS OF UP TO $7,500 NOW OFFERED FOR INFORMATION: On June 2, 2021, two things happened in our community. The first event was the mass murder of Sarah Zent and her three babies,
Carter, Ashton and Aubree. The second event was that missing person Kevin Nguyen’s case had been highlighted by the Indianapolis Star: https://www.indystar.com/indepth/news/crime/2021/06/02/lauren-spierer-indiana-unsolved-missing-person-cases/5211637001/ .
Because the Indianapolis Star is Indiana’s only regional newspaper, this story was picked up by other news agencies and shared in areas outside of Indiana. [A][B][C][D] Sadly for our Community (and the Zent, Fields, Willman and More Families and the Nguyen Family), the horrific mass murder on June 2nd “bumped” coverage of Kevin’s disappearance. (We can’t begin to tell you how much our heart breaks for all of these Families. None of these Families deserve the trauma they are going through. Our apologies also to the Nguyen family for the delay of this particular post.)
It’s been 20 days since the Indianapolis Star reported on Kevin Nguyen’s disappearance. During those 20 days, there has been a lot happening as the search for Kevin continues.
REWARDS FOR INFORMATION
On or about June 16th, 2021, as part of an awareness walk, Kevin’s grandmother, Dee Campbell, revealed that the family was offering their own reward. [1A] On or about June 19th, the Burkhart Sign company erected new billboards in the vicinity where Kevin went missing. [1B] These sign offer a second reward of $5,000 for “Information leading to Kevin’s recovery or the arrest and conviction of those involved in his disappearance.” [2] If you have any information about Kevin’s disappearance, please call or text Detective Scott Tegtmeyer at (260) 452-8698. If you have any questions about the reward, please contact Dee Campbell.
The first reward is a $2,500 cash reward offered by Crime Stoppers of Greater Fort Wayne. [3] This reward is for tips leading to an indictment or an arrest. [4] Persons offering information that leads to an arrest may remain anonymous, with no pressure to reveal their identity, and still collect their reward. Persons with information will be a number that is used in calls or subsequent e-mails to Crime Stoppers. That same number will be used to receive further information about when any reward is paid to the person with information. If you have information about Kevin’s disappearance or have questions about the reward, please call or text call (260) 436-STOP or 1-800-237-STOP.
