The Allen County 4-H program is for all youth, regardless of whether they live in the city or on a farm, in Kindergarten through 12th grade. We use curriculum and research from Purdue University to teach life skills and activities related to 60 different subject areas. Allen County 4-H Leaders were honored for their service at the annual 4-H Leaders Recognition Banquet at the Chamber of Commerce. Among those honored were, left to right, Howard Green and Guy Beerbower, both for 25 years of service. With them are Mrs. Elsie Shifferly, county extension agent in home economics, and Burton Canaday, banquet chairman.
