Meet Our Board of Directors

At Healthways Alliance, we’re proud to be guided by leaders whose experience, passion, and commitment help advance our mission of building healthier communities. Each Friday, we’ll introduce you to one of the dedicated individuals who help shape the future of our organization.

This week, we’re honored to feature Christopher Nicolai.

Christopher serves as the Community Impact Director for the American Heart Association across northern Indiana. In this role, he collaborates with community organizations, healthcare partners, schools, and local leaders to advance initiatives that create heart-safe and heart-healthy communities.

Prior to joining the American Heart Association, Christopher served with The Salvation Army, where he led community programs designed to address local needs and strengthen support systems for individuals and families. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about building partnerships and bringing people together to create meaningful, lasting impact. This is because he believes that those strong connections improve health outcomes and are the foundation for healthier, more resilient communities.

We are grateful for Christopher's leadership, dedication, and commitment to strengthening communities through collaboration and service. Join us in thanking him for helping advance the mission of Healthways Alliance by leaving a word of appreciation in the comments.

On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress approved the design of a national flag. President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation establishing a national Flag Day on June 14, 1916, for Americans to commemorate the adoption of the Stars and Stripes. We just celebrated our nation's 250th birthday, and the flag is our banner, a profound symbol of liberty, freedom, and the diverse spirit of the United States!

Attendees have the opportunity to help the IBLC lay the groundwork for its future legislative agenda as it relates to economic justice, social opportunity and racial equality.
