•Walk of Hope Fort Wayne Update•

Three years ago, my sister and I stepped into something that felt bigger than us and helped launch the very first Walk of Hope. What started as a leap of faith quickly became one of the most meaningful and rewarding ways we’ve ever been able to serve the infertility community.

We are incredibly grateful for the friends, family, and local businesses who have supported us and helped bring this event to life year after year. Your encouragement and generosity have meant more than we can say.

At the same time, organizing and hosting the walk requires an incredible amount of time, coordination, and behind the scenes work. Without additional volunteers to help lead and share the responsibilities, we simply don’t have the capacity to chair it ourselves this year. While we had hoped the event would continue to grow into a larger, self sustaining effort, it hasn’t quite reached that point yet.

If anyone feels called to step into a leadership role, we would be more than happy to share everything we’ve learned along the way. We care deeply about this community and would truly love to see the walk continue. We just can’t carry it on our own this year.

Every October 15th we honor the

Tonight we light candles in honor of all the babies gone too soon. To those remembering tonight, you’re not alone. We’d love for you to share your baby’s name with us so we can remember them with you 💗💙

We at the Walk of Hope are always grateful to see local stories and organizations bringing awareness to infertility and pregnancy & infant loss. Topics that are so important, yet often left unspoken.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to honor the 1 in 4 families who have experienced loss and to remind our community that no one walks this path alone.

Be sure to tune in tonight at 5:30 for a special segment, Tiny Footprints, highlighting pregnancy and infant loss awareness and the support available for families in our area. 💗💙

Thinking of those missing loved ones lost or loved ones longed for over this holiday weekend 🤍

Sometimes the holidays remind us more of what we lost or what others have that we don’t yet. Your feelings are valid and you aren’t alone.

A few tips:

🧡 Limit time at gatherings if needed.
🧡 Give yourself time to feel the feelings and practice self care.
🧡 Reach out to a support group or safe friend.

This doesn’t relate to you but want to know how to help:

🧡 Don’t ask people when they’re having kids or more kids. Often infertility is invisible.
🧡 Know someone who is struggling and at an event with you? Ask them how they are doing? And then just listen. Or tell them you’ve been thinking of them. Again if they talk listen, don’t give advice.

We’re still thinking about how great the 2025 Walk of Hope event was & all the amazing people that helped make it so!! 🥰

We came together during this year’s National Infertility Awareness Week not only to raise awareness and hope, but create community, break stigmas, as well as fundraise together for RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association who’s mission is to fight for access to care and more for the 1 in 6 affected by infertility.

And we did BIG THINGS! Together we raised almost 6K!! 🥳🥳🥳 Thanks to all the sponsors, businesses that donated to our raffle, and all that walked, fundraised, and donated. Couldn’t do it without you!! 👏👏👏
