With the heat wave due to settle over the East Coast in the next few days, Ocean Downs would like to remind all horsemen participating in qualifiers and racing at Ocean Downs on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 of the following changes:

First race post time for the live race card will be 7:40 pm and the first qualifier will go at 7:00pm. “The qualifying races are restricted to two and three year old horses”, said Peter Szymanski, Ocean Downs’ Director of Racing.” These horses need qualifying lines for their respective stake engagements.”

“We are taking these proactive steps with the equine health and safety protocols as our number one priority, “said Szymanski.
“Horsemen are advised to adjust their schedules accordingly with ship in times and Lasix administration .” (see attached chedule).

MSRF 2-YEAR-OLD PAYMENTS DUE MARCH 15

Ocean Pines, MD – Two-year old payments (foals of 2024) are due to the MD Standardbred Race Fund on March 15. These payments include both the MD Sire Stakes and MD Standardbred Fund.

As per regulation, we will accept a postmark of Monday (March 16) since the payment date falls on a weekend.

All staking forms, race dates, and stallion pedigrees are now available online. Please use our website for all your current MSRF info and any updates as they become available.

It is recommended that all payments be sent by certified or priority mail with tracking. Please use the following address: Maryland Standardbred Race Fund, P.O. Box 1530, Ocean Pines, MD 21811.

Rosecroft postpones Monday card to Wednesday
from Rosecroft Raceway

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — Due to heavy snow in the Washington, D.C., area and the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and out of consideration for the safety of horsepeople shipping in to race, Rosecroft Raceway has postponed its Monday (Feb. 23) harness racing program to Wednesday (Feb. 25).

First post for the 13-race card remains 7:15 p.m. (EST). Bettors will be treated to a $19,851 carryover in the Jackpot Hi-5, offered in the last race.
