As Hurricane weather impacts our area, One Hopeful Place wants to remind everyone to stay safe and look out for one another. ❤️

Check on your neighbors, especially our elderly and those who may need a helping hand. Show kindness, offer support when it’s safe to do so, and remember that even the smallest act of compassion can make a difference.

We are more than neighbors. We are a community, and together we are stronger.

Volunteer Support Needed!
Emergency Management is currently seeking volunteers who may be available to support the following functions:

Volunteer Support Needed!
Emergency Management is currently seeking volunteers who may be available to support the following functions:

General Shelter Support: Volunteers willing to assist shelter staff with general shelter operations, registration, setup, and other duties as assigned.

Pet-Friendly Shelter Support: Volunteers who are comfortable assisting with animals and supporting operations within pet-friendly shelters. Previous animal handling experience is helpful but not required for pet-friendly shelter volunteers. Just-In-Time training will be provided before volunteers interact with animals to ensure they are prepared and comfortable with their responsibilities.

* Contact information
* Preferred assignment: General Shelter Support or Pet-Friendly Shelter Support

Please send this information to this email address as soon as possible. Please do not independently deploy as a volunteer to a shelter. Volunteer assignments and deployment information will be coordinated based on the needs identified by Emergency Management.

As our community prepares for the approaching hurricane, One Hopeful Place is working to ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors have a safe place to stay during the storm.

We are asking our community to come together and help us purchase the essential supplies needed to shelter and care for our participants during this severe weather.

Your monetary donation, no matter how big or small, will help us provide food, water, emergency supplies, and other necessities to keep those in our care safe.

While many of us have a home to prepare and protect, those experiencing homelessness don’t have that same security.
