This Saturday: Community “Convoy” benefitting family of Fort Walton Beach Fire Department firefighter

Local businesses and community partners are showing their support for Fort Walton Beach Firefighter David Leonard by holding a “Community Convoy” on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026.

The event is in support of Leonard and his newborn daughter, Marlow, and in memory of his wife, Crysta, who passed away last month as a result of complications from childbirth.

The event starts at 9 a.m. at The Block nightclub (113 Eglin Parkway SE). There will be live music, breakfast, and a drop-off point for donations to the family.

At 11 a.m., the Community Convoy will depart from The Block, and participants will ride/drive to Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson (788 Beal Parkway NW).

The route will go north on Eglin Parkway, west onto Hollywood Boulevard and pass Fort Walton Beach Fire Station No. 6. Participants will then turn north onto Beal Parkway and finish the convoy at Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson (788 Beal Parkway NW).

There will be more live music, free food, and vendors at Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson beginning around 11:30 a.m.

✅No registration is necessary, and the event is open to all motor vehicles. 🏍️🚙🚒🚗

This event is sponsored by The Block, Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson, Fastsigns of Fort Walton Beach/ Destin, and Motorcycle Riding Events of America, with coordination from the Fort Walton Beach Fire Department.

For more information, please contact Fort Walton Beach Battalion Chief Matthew Baxley at 850-758-5437.

🚨🔥 HUGE NEWS! 🔥🚨

Motorcycle Riding Events of America had the honor and privilege of donating four LifeVac devices to the incredible team at Skyline Fire Rescue in Milton, Florida! 🚒💪

When Skyline Fire Rescue reached out requesting LifeVac’s, we didn’t hesitate for a second. We’re proud to help equip our local heroes with tools that can make the difference between life and death in a choking emergency. 💛

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do supporting those who protect our communities every single day.

If you’re part of a fire department, police department, daycare, restaurant, nursing home, or any organization that would benefit from having a LifeVac on hand, please reach out to us! 🙌

We’d love to help coordinate donations to get these devices into your hands too.

Together, we can make our communities safer one LifeVac at a time. 🏍️❤️🇺🇸

Today Motorcycle Riding Events of America had the honor of attending the Nicki Hunt Memorial / Fundraiser Ride from Fort Walton Beach, FL to Greenville, Alabama.

We were proud to provide support by bringing out our brand new 16-foot enclosed trailer for emergency motorcycle towing in case anyone broke down along the route. Knowing riders could depend on us for safety and support meant a lot to our team.

We are extremely grateful to for generously donating this trailer to our organization. Having this resource allows us to continue serving the riding community not only at memorial and fundraiser rides, but also through our ongoing efforts like donating LifeVac devices to schools, first responders, and charitable causes throughout the region.

It’s a blessing to be part of a community that comes together for such meaningful events. Thank you Tye Magnuson for putting this ride together and Marty Michael and Brandi Sikes for pulling the trailer today and all who participated in honoring Nicki’s memory and supporting such a great cause.

Ride safe, ride strong. ❤️🏍️🇺🇸
