PARTNERS FOR MADAGASCAR

501C3 IRS-approved tax-deductible Non-profit Organization

We do a Flip-a-village projects that includes providing fertilizer, seedlings, and farming implements. We feed the workers while they doing the project field work.

For rural schools, we provide school supplies, desks, benches, chalk boards, and then we provide their parents with chickens and geese to raise to provide income to keep the kids in school.

When it is cold weather we provide warm clothes. And then when they are in Middle school and high school we provide a dormitory for the rural students so they can stay in town during the week and have an electric light to study with. Then they go back their village on the weekends.

Rescuing children-at-risk from deadly tribal taboos:
- Abandoned twins
- “Zaza ratsy-andro” child born on a “bad day” (if the local astrologer needs some money he will convince the family that the child was born on a “bad day” and therefore the child has spiritual power to bring a curse on the whole village
- If the mother dies in child-birth the local witch-doctor (ombiasa) will convince the family that the infant killed the mother and the infant has spiritual power to kill the whole village
- Tanjona Orphanage cares for and raises the children (education, housing, medical, church life)
