Northwest Florida Guardian ad Litem Foundation, Inc.

Northwest Florida Guardian ad Litem Foundation, Inc. We serve abused, abandoned, and neglected children by supporting the volunteer advocates in the Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem office.

The Northwest Florida Guardian ad Litem Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that enhances the First Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem program of Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton counties through support, education, and advocacy. Our mission is to provide for the needs of abused, abandoned and neglected children and support the volunteer advocates in the Guardian ad Litem program. We a

re a United Way partner agency. Support- The Foundation provides for basic needs such as diapers, clothing and food. It is important that a child's basic needs are met but providing support above and beyond basic needs can make all the difference in the world to a child who can begin to experience a quality of life most of us take for granted. The Foundation supports children with attendance at camps, sporting events, after school activities, band instruments, and many other special needs which the children would otherwise go without. Without this foundation it would not be possible for our program to provide this support for the children. Education-The Foundation provides funds which makes it possible to educate and inform our community of the essential need for additional volunteers. The Foundation also provides funds to aid in the education of new volunteers. Advocacy- For both the children and the volunteers. The Foundation aids in fund raising efforts, provides for speakers at public events, funds volunteer appreciation luncheons, and assists with public forums such as the state legislature. We called it an “Annual Board Retreat” but retreating is the last thing we’re doing.

Today our board came together to pursue our mission: to ensure that every child in foster care has the advocacy, stability, and opportunities they deserve.

We brainstormed, we problem-solved, we dreamt of what we can accomplish with the right partners by our side.

The future is BRIGHT for the foundation and we’re working to make sure it’s bright for our community’s kids in foster care too.

Check out our website (link in bio) to learn how you can help change a child’s future.

Last night, 2 of our board members, Holly and Stephanie, had the honor of attending and presenting to the incredible women of IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area at their “Celebrate Progress: Show Me the Impact” event.

We are so grateful for the support of Impact 100 and the difference their generosity is making in the lives of children in foster care.

Because of partnerships like this, kids in our community are receiving opportunities, resources, and support that bring hope and dignity during difficult seasons. 💙

Last night we got to celebrate the Escambia / Santa Rosa Guardian ad Litem Volunteers.

Volunteers don’t need academic credentials to help our children in foster care… they need a heart that cares.

Many congrats to the volunteers that receive awards last night, and even more thanks to ALL the volunteers that serve our precious children.

DM us for more info on how you can volunteer to help a child in need.

Happy Easter! 🌸Wishing you a day filled with joy, fresh beginnings, and time well spent with the people you love. 💛
